Who Should Attend?
This Certificate in Introduction to International Business will suit students with an appreciation of globalisation. This course expands into the areas of international macroeconomic and strategic theory and looks to put them into practice using case studies.
This 8 week professional development course will be delivered live online via Zoom one evening per week for 2.5 hours from 6.30-9.00pm starting the week of 22nd June 2020.
Over the 8 classes the course will cover:
Introduction – The History of Globalisation
The international Balance of Payments and the IMF
International Trade – Entry Strategies
Foreign Direct Investment Part 1 Cultural issues
Foreign Direct Investment Part 2 Political and Legal issues
Foreign Exchange Markets
International Capital Markets and sources of Finance
International Trade – Exit Strategies
1 x Case Study Continuous Assessment project for completion at the end of the 8 weeks.
This course is provided and assessed by Independent College Dublin and is primarily based on modules delivered in the BA Accounting and Finance degree course that is approved by QQI.
