SECTION 01: OVERVIEW

A rigorous and comprehensive set of quality assurance principles and practice has always been a fundamental requirement for organizational wellbeing and development. This is particularly the case in the education sector, predominantly a people-based environment, involving a complex mixture of qualitative and quantitative processes and metrics, and subject to accelerating change due to a number of factors. These factors include new approaches in program delivery, technological development, increased competition in the education sector, learner support, educational market trends (not least an increase in learner diversity), and regulatory issues.
